Description of the project
In the automated warehouse, huge volumes of goods move already every day, even in a week or a month. With the competition particularly fierce in the warehouse sector, a large part of the processes is automated and much attention is paid to what is still going to be manual work. The challenge was the huge amount of cardboard coming from around the sales lots at the collection point; 6 full Euro pallets per day from each of the four collection points. Cardboards were transported manually by pump carts and thrown into a cardboard press by hand.
Kapasity calculated the amount of work and made a solution for the customer: at the collection points, the cartons would be collected directly into container presses, which packed the cartons into large 1000 liter (l) waste containers. The dish presses would be connected to the customer's dust removal system to prevent the amount of dust in the warehouse from increasing. In addition, the cardboard press would be equipped with a wall-through-hopper and a dish-pouring device to make it effortless and efficient for users to empty the packed waste bins. The solution was a success, emptying came only every three days in the future.
